Hi, I’m Joe “Luke” Jr your local owner and operator of Modesto/Stockton’s GuardNOW. I opened the first GuardNOW franchise in California July 2012. I am a veteran owned and operated franchise, starting my security company by servicing the Modesto area and all surrounding communities (Turlock, Ceres, Oakdale, Keyes, Salida, & Ripon). I am also the sole operator in the Stockton areas as well and the surrounding communities, (Manteca, Lodi, Galt, Lathrop, Angels Camp, and Tracy). I patrol a 40 Mile radius from both Modesto and Stockton, which can have my security company conducting operations as far North as Elk Grove and as far South as Merced, or West to Dublin. I can provide services to all the major areas in both communities, to include: three major shopping malls, the esteemed Gallo Center or Bob Hope theatre, the downtown areas, the Stockton arena and waterfront areas and also cover 3-5 major colleges. I can and will provide services to any county or city that requests me as well as any other main tourist attractions or venues in the valley.
Before introducing GuardNOW’s security guard services to the Central Valley, I spent over 13 years in law enforcement. I gained over 1400 hours of LE training and attended three different LE academies and Investigative schools. My experience derives from my college education (B.S. Criminal Justice Administration), 4 years military service (USAF), two years in the DC area (Pentagon Police) and 8 years with the Department of Homeland Security as a Federal Police Officer. I have held positions of: patrolman, investigator, tactical team member, accident investigator, emergency response team (Riot Control team) and field training officer (FTO). I have been trained in firearms, tactical training, incident management, criminal investigations and a variety of other law enforcement and security areas that are essential to running a successful GuardNOW franchise.
I am dedicated and give back to communities through athletics (football coach) and community activities, helping and working with the youth. I am a Fraternity member (Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc) and formerly a Drill Sergeant at a prestigious military styled Alternative Education program. My greatest fulfillment came from teaching discipline and helping kids succeed in life, graduating High school and attend college. Helping others is a calling, but my family and children are my pride and joy!
